Every treatment follows a carefully designed, meticulous process that combines expert assessment with specialised extraction devices, precision scalp examination and professional removal techniques. Unlike basic combing at home, our specialists systematically inspect each section of the hair and scalp, using professional equipment to locate, extract and safely capture live lice while minimising the risk of cross-contamination.

Because live lice move quickly and eggs are securely attached to the hair shaft, successful treatment requires patience, precision and the right equipment. Once all active lice have been removed, our specialists continue with a detailed inspection and removal of remaining eggs (nits), followed by a final quality check to ensure the highest standard of care.

A head check is 950 MKD (€15) per person. If we find lice and treat someone on the same visit, their check is on us — they pay the treatment only. If a head is clear, 950 MKD is all you pay for that person.

We come to you, in an unmarked vehicle, at a time that suits. One flat rate per person, by hair length.

Each person's head check is 1.250 MKD (€20) — waived for anyone we treat on the same visit. If we treat someone, there is no call-out: you pay the treatment only. If nobody needs treatment, a 1.850 MKD (€30) call-out applies on top of the checks.

Two children, medium and long: 4.300 + 5.250 = 9.550 MKD (€155) — no call-out.

How we measure hair length

We look at where the ends of the hair fall, with the hair down and straight.

Short

Above the jawline — the hair doesn't reach the collar. Cropped cuts, most boys' haircuts, pixie and buzz cuts. Up to ~10 cm.

Medium

Between the jawline and the shoulders. Bobs, lobs, chin-length to shoulder-length hair. ~10–30 cm.

Long

Past the shoulders — below the collarbone at the front, past the shoulder blades at the back. Long hair, ponytails and plaits. ~30 cm and more.

Prices include VAT. Pay by online payment or cash before the session. Every person treated in the studio gets a free re-check about 7 days later.

Answers before you ask.

For the vast majority of cases, yes. Our manual removal method clears around 98% of cases in a single 60–90 minute session. A follow-up reassurance check is included so you can be certain it's gone.

Completely. We use pesticide-free, dermatologically-tested products approved for children from age two. Most of the work is careful manual combing rather than chemicals.

We arrive in an unmarked vehicle with no branding. Nothing identifies why we're there. Your details are never shared with anyone, including any school or pharmacy that referred you.

Enquiring costs nothing, and you'll know the exact price before we begin. Prices include VAT. You can pay by online payment or in cash, before the session starts.

Yes. On a home visit the whole household is treated together in a single visit, which also stops re-infection at the source. Each person is priced by their own hair length — you'll find the rates in the Pricing section.

Yes. If you need to be seen the same day — or in the evening or at the weekend — we add a flat 1.250 MKD (€20) priority fee per visit, subject to availability. Just tell us it's urgent when you message and we'll do our best to fit you in.

Head Start follows a comprehensive three-step professional treatment process designed to maximise the effectiveness of every session.

  • Step 1 — Professional extraction: We use specialised extraction devices to systematically inspect the scalp and hair while efficiently removing live lice in a controlled and hygienic manner.
  • Step 2 — Egg treatment: We then use advanced professional technology designed to safely dehydrate and neutralise lice eggs (nits), helping to reduce the risk of newly hatched lice.
  • Step 3 — Precision verification: Finally, our specialists perform a meticulous section-by-section inspection using a professional fine-tooth comb to remove any remaining eggs and complete a thorough quality check.
